Hi. I am the Crassula Ovata, or more known as the Jade plant and I originate from South Africa. The name Crassula (thick in Latin) was given to this group of succulent plants because they have thick leaves and stems as a way of storing water – a necessary resource in hot desert plains.
Jades are super easy to care for. They are low maintenance and as long as you don't over water they will thrive. The bigger the planter, the bigger the plant.
Bright light. Tolerates low to medium light. Not suited for intense, direct sun.
Water every one to two weeks, depending on season. Spring to summer, allow mix to dry out almost completely before watering thoroughly. Fall to winter, the Jade can go up to a month between drenching.
Toxic to pets!
Comes in a 4" nursery pot and are about 6-7" tall
