Tradescantia Spathacea - Indoor Plant

'Tradescantia spathacea' commonly called as 'Boat lily' or 'Moses in a Basket' is a tropical sculptural herbaceous perennial that thrives in containers but needs to be kept indoors during the winter. It's a good houseplant. The unique flower and lovely leaves make it a popular choice. To differentiate this plant from bromeliads, look for the linear leaves with purple undersides oriented radially and dark to metallic green on the top, as well as the distinctive bract-enclosed blooms.

 Place indoor boat lily plants near a bright window.

Keep soil lightly moist spring through fall. In winter, allow the potting medium to dry out slightly between waterings.
